Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Santa Marta and set off on a 40-minute drive to Ciénaga. During the journey, we'll have a fruit snack.

Upon arrival in Ciénaga, associated with Gabriel García Márquez's novel One Hundred Years of Solitude, we'll explore the town's history. We'll walk through historic streets and discuss its beginnings and economic boom in the early 20th century due to the growing banana industry.

During the trip, we'll visit the pavilion, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, and other monuments related to García Márquez's literary work.

Next, we'll head to the Cordobita region to visit the volcano of Ciénaga. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy its hot springs, explore their healing properties, and receive a therapeutic mud massage.
