Embark on an exploration of a hidden gem within the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta on this journey to Laguna Encantada, complemented by a visit to Mendihuaca Beach.

Description

You will be collected from your accommodation in Santa Marta at the designated time to commence our adventure towards Laguna Encantada. Are you prepared to immerse yourself in this enchanting natural setting?

Upon boarding our minibus, we will navigate the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, aiming to reach the Mendihuaca River, which nourishes Laguna Encantada. Our journey will take over an hour by road, after which we will disembark to embark on a hiking trail leading us to the picturesque spring.

As we meander along the river, we'll partake in a scenic hiking experience lasting approximately an hour. This is an opportunity to appreciate the rich flora and fauna unique to this part of Colombia, allowing us to reconnect with nature. Along the way, we’ll also have the chance to witness a waterfall!

Upon reaching Laguna Encantada, one of the most cherished locations in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, we will learn about the significance of its name through conversations with The Kogi community and engage with a spiritual leader from their culture.

Enjoy a full hour to swim in the lagoon before we commence our journey back. After returning to the minibus, we will proceed to Mendihuaca Beach, where you can savor a delightful picnic amidst stunning views.

Following a comprehensive nine-hour excursion, we will return you to the comfort of your hotel.
