Laguna Encantada Tour

Join us on a visit to one of the hidden corners of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta on this trip to Laguna Encantada. We'll take a hike and visit Mendihuaca Beach.

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Santa Marta at the indicated time to start our trip to Laguna Encantada. Travel will be by minibus through the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to the Mendihuaca River, which feeds the lagoon. After more than an hour on the road, we will hike to the spring following the river's course.

This hiking route lasts an hour, during which we will experience the local fauna and flora and a waterfall. Upon reaching Laguna Encantada, we will learn about its origin from The Kogi people and meet one of their spiritual leaders.

Participants will have one hour to swim in the lagoon before returning. After the hike back, we will go to Mendihuaca Beach for a picnic with views. The entire experience lasts nine hours, concluding with drop-off at your hotel.
