Santa Marta PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course
Day 1: Theory and practice in confined waters
Meet your instructor at the entrance of the Divanga Hostel in Santa Marta at the designated time. You will receive all necessary equipment and learn essential theory about diving techniques.
You will understand how to use diving equipment, position yourself underwater, utilize air tanks, and clear your mask, as well as how to communicate underwater.
After the theory, you'll practice in hotel swimming pools.
Start times: 8 am or 1:30 pm
Days 2 & 3: Dives in open water
During the second and third days, you will complete a total of 4 open water dives in Tayrona Park.
You will test your diving skills in the Colombian Caribbean and appreciate vibrant underwater life, including groupers, moray eels, gogo turtles, hawksbill turtles, and parrot fish.
At the end of the course, you will take a final exam for your official certification, allowing you to dive to a depth of 60 feet (18 meters) anywhere in the world.
