Santa Marta PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course
Day 1: Theory and practice in confined waters
At the designated time, you'll meet your instructor at the entrance of the Divanga Hostel in Santa Marta. You will receive all necessary equipment and learn essential diving theory, including the operation of different diving equipment, positioning underwater, using air tanks, and clearing your mask. Additionally, underwater communication techniques will be taught. The theory will then be practiced in hotel swimming pools.
Start times: 8 am or 1:30 pm
Days 2 & 3: Dives in open water
On the second and third days, you'll complete a total of 4 open water dives in Tayrona Park. You will test your diving skills in the Colombian Caribbean and explore the vibrant underwater life, including groupers, moray eels, gogo turtles, hawksbill turtles, and parrot fish. At the end of the course, you will take a final exam to obtain your official certification, allowing you to dive to a depth of 60 feet (18 meters) anywhere in the world.
