Explore the jungle and visit dreamlike beaches on our Tayrona Park Day Trip. We'll leave Santa Marta behind and spend an unforgettable day touring one of Colombia's most important ecological reserves.

Day Trip Details

After picking you up from your hotel in Santa Marta, we'll drive northeast for 1.5 hours to Tayrona Park, located between the Caribbean Sea and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Upon arrival, we’ll have a brief introduction to nature conservation before starting to explore the jungle trails.

We’ll spend 4 hours walking along the jungle, discovering the ecosystem, and potentially spotting iguanas, howler monkeys, ocelots, and anteaters. Next, we’ll visit the Caribbean coastline, enjoying beaches such as Cañaveral and La Piscina, before reaching Cape San Juan del Guía, where you'll have time for local gastronomy. We’ll conclude with a visit to Cape San Juan's viewpoint before returning to Santa Marta.

Walking Times

On this tour, we’ll engage in a 16-km (9.9 mi) medium-hard difficulty hike, taking 4 hours to complete.

Speedboat Trip

You can choose from three options regarding the speedboat from Cabo San Juan to Santa Marta Bay.

Tour with return trip by speedboat: You’ll return by speedboat, avoiding a 2-hour walk and extending your time at the beach until 4 pm (no hotel drop-off included).
