Vic, Rupit & Besalú Excursion

After picking you up at your hotel in Santa Susana between 8 and 9 am, we'll start a route through some of the most charming villages of Catalonia.

In a comfortable minibus, we'll first head towards Besalú, a medieval town rich in history. Upon arrival, we'll cross the famous Old Bridge of Besalú, built in the 11th century over a Roman bridge.

During our exploration of the historic center of Besalú, we'll navigate its medieval streets and admire its façades. We'll visit the churches of Sant Pere, Santa Maria and Sant Vicenç, showcasing Romanesque and Gothic architecture, and check out the Jewish quarter to see its medieval baths.

Next, we'll head to the La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park for a short hike, observing a landscape of beech, oak, and holm oak forests incorporating extinct volcanoes and lava flows.

Our next destination will be Rupit, deemed one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Catalonia. Here you will have an hour of free time to have lunch in a local restaurant.

Afterward, we will head to Vic, passing by Cingles de Tavertet for photos. In Vic, we will stroll through Plaza Mayor and see Gothic constructions like Casa Beuló and modern-style buildings such as Casa Tolosa.

Before returning, we'll stop at the ruins of the Palau dels Montcada. The excursion will conclude with your return to the hotel between 6 and 7 pm.
