Explore the stunning modernist architecture in the charming town of Comillas. This day excursion from Santander offers the chance to admire extraordinary structures, including the villa El Capricho designed by Gaudí.

Itinerary Overview

We will commence our journey by picking you up at the appointed time from your accommodation or designated meeting area, setting off towards Comillas.

In approximately 45 minutes, we will arrive at our destination. Notably, Comillas transformed into a sought-after summer retreat for the Castilian elite during the 20th century. Our first stop will be the Villa Quijano, often referred to as the Capricho de Gaudi. This stunning mansion, part of the artist's orientalist period, is among the rare few structures he created outside of Catalonia.

The tour will conclude with a scenic bus ride through Comillas. We will appreciate the impressive Ángel Exterminador sculpture, which overlooks the historic cemetery. Additionally, we will explore the heart of Comillas and witness the Fuente de los Tres Caños fountain.

Upon completion of our adventure, we will return to Santander, concluding the activity at the initial meeting point approximately 5 hours after we gathered.
