Comillas Day Trip

Discover magnificent modernist architecture in the beautiful town of Comillas, including the Gaudí designed villa El Capricho.

Description

After picking you up at the selected time from your hotel or the meeting point, we’ll set off for Comillas.

We will arrive 45 minutes later. Comillas was a summer destination for the Castilian aristocracy in the 20th century. We’ll visit the ancient Seminario Mayor, situated on a hill, where we will enjoy views of the town and the Palacio de Sobrellano palace.

Next, we will head to the Villa Quijano, known as the Capricho de Gaudi. This mansion from the artist’s orientalist period is one of only three buildings he designed outside Catalonia.

The tour will conclude with a panoramic bus tour of Comillas. We will see the Ángel Exterminador sculpture that overlooks the ancient cemetery and visit the center of Comillas to discover the Fuente de los Tres Caños fountain.

At the end of the trip, we will return to Santander, and the activity will conclude at the starting point 5 hours after meeting up.
