Picos de Europa & Potes Hike

Discover the beauty of Picos de Europa through this tour. You'll hike in stunning mountain landscapes and visit the village of Potes.

Hiking Details

We'll leave Santander in the morning and head to Fuente Dé, located in the heart of the Picos de Europa. The journey lasts an hour and a half, featuring impressive Cantabria landscapes like the Hermida gorge.

Upon arrival at Fuente Dé, we'll take the cable car, reaching an altitude of 5,980 feet in just 4 minutes. From the Mirador del Cable observation point, you will enjoy exceptional views of the Picos de Europa.

Then we begin our 4-hour hiking route in Picos de Europa National Park, experiencing the mountain air and landscapes. The trail includes a 12-kilometre descent toward the village of Espinama. Along the way, there are opportunities to see eagles, vultures, and local species, with stops to enjoy the natural surroundings.

After hiking, we will travel to Potes, a medieval town. You will have two hours of free time to explore and dine at a local restaurant.

Following this break, we will return to Santander, completing the tour in a total of twelve hours.
