Santoña Boat Ride & Anchovy Factory Trip
We will set off from Santander in the morning and head to the village of Santoña. After a 45-minute drive, we will reach this fishing village on the Cantabrian coast.
In Santoña, we will visit an anchovy factory called Conservas Emilia, where we will see the manufacturing process of this product. We will discover the importance of the food preserves industry for this village and its evolution throughout the twentieth century.
Then we will head to the port of Santoña and set off on a boat trip around the bay. During the cruise, you will enjoy views of the coast and the marshes of Santoña, a protected natural area where thousands of migratory birds come every year.
On our way back to the port, we will explore Santoña. As we stroll past the fishermen's houses, we will learn about the history of the village, which is an important tourist and fishing destination in Cantabria.
The trip will end near the Santander marina.
