Santoña Boat Ride & Anchovy Factory Trip
We'll depart from Santander in the morning and drive for 45 minutes to the village of Santoña. There, we will visit the anchovy factory called Conservas Emilia to observe the manufacturing process and learn about the history of the food preserves industry in this village throughout the twentieth century.
Next, we will head to the port of Santoña and embark on a boat trip around the bay, where you will enjoy views of the coast and the marshes of Santoña, a protected natural area that attracts thousands of migratory birds annually.
Upon returning to the port, we will explore Santoña. As we walk past the fishermen's houses, we will discuss the history of the village, which remains a significant tourist and fishing destination in Cantabria.
The trip will conclude near the Santander marina.
