Leave Alter do Chão for the day and venture into the Brazilian Amazon on our Amorim Cove Tour, exploring a unique ecosystem and its biodiversity.

Amorim Cove Tour

At 9 am, we'll meet at the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão and proceed to the boat for our journey along the Tapajós River to Amorim Cove.

During the boat trip, we will pass by Mureta, Jurucuru Lakes, and Pindobal Beach. We will stop at Cajutuba Beach and the Santo Domingo dunes for photo opportunities, followed by a fruit break in Jamaraquá with pineapple, watermelon, banana, apple, and coconut.

After the fruit selection, we'll cross the last stretch of the Tapajós to reach Amorim. We'll board a smaller boat to navigate the canals and low water level, observing the Igapos or flooded forests filled with wildlife. Around 1 pm, we'll enjoy a typical dish and learn about the locals' lifestyle.

Afterward, we'll return to Cabeceira do Amorim and board the boat for our journey back to Alter do Chão, arriving at approximately 7 pm.

What the boat is like?

The boat features four different spaces and includes equipment for kayaking and paddle surfing, along with barbecue and music on board.
