Arapiuns River 5-Day Tour
Day 1
At 9 am, we pick you up from the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão and start our boat trip exploring the Arapiuns River. We will pass by Piranhas Lake and Ponta do Cururu to reach the Urucurea Indigenous community. You can participate in a traditional crafts demonstration or choose between hiking or a canoe tour of the beaches. Lunch will be at a local's house, followed by relaxation in a hammock and a sunset at Ponta do Toronó and Grande Lake.
Day 2
In the morning, you can snorkel, take photos, and relax before boarding a boat to the Coroca community. Here, you will learn about their ecotourism and conservation project, turtle breeding, and beekeeping. After lunch with the locals, we will head to Aruã, stopping briefly at São Pedro and São José. We will camp on Mount Sião for the night.
Day 3
We will take a boat trip to the Aruã Waterfall, exploring its trails and trying local food. Adventurers may jump into the waterfall from above. We will camp next to the waterfall around a campfire.
Day 4
After leaving Aruã, we will visit Ponta do Papagaio Beach for lunch and then proceed to the São Francisco community for swimming. Next, we will head to Ponta Grande, known for its beautiful dunes and sunset views. A bonfire will be made to cook fish, and you can choose to camp on the beach or sleep on the boat.
Day 5
You have the morning free to explore. At midday, we'll head to Punta de Icuxi for local cuisine and then cross the Tapajós River to watch the sunset at Ponta do Cururu before returning to Alter do Chão by around 7 pm.

The tour includes 4 nights' accommodation on the boat with meals provided. The boats accommodate either 20 or 70 people, featuring double or single beds based on availability.
