Maicá Lake Tour

For those interested in a natural fish hatchery, we will meet at 9 am at the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão. Shortly after, we'll board a boat to Maicá Lake.

While traveling along the Tapajós River, we will pass Piranhas Lake, Ponta do Cururu, Moça Beach, Crocodile Lake, and Ponta de Pedras, with an opportunity to take a dip. Our route includes stops at Lake Tapari and Lake Negro for photo opportunities of the Amazon.

At approximately 1 pm, we'll stop for lunch at Casa do Saulo restaurant. Following lunch, we'll proceed to the confluence of the Tapajós and Amazon Rivers to observe the habitat of the pink Amazon River dolphin.

After traveling a short distance more, we'll arrive at Maicá Lake. Here, we will navigate slowly to spot monkeys, sloths, iguanas, various tropical fish, and alligators, alongside abundant greenery.

We will return to Alter do Chão, where you can enjoy a sunset, and drop off will be at 7 pm.
