On our Maicá Lake Tour, you will depart from Alter do Chão and explore the natural beauty of Brazil's Pará region.

If you wish to visit a natural fish hatchery, we will meet at 9 am at the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão. Shortly after, we will board the boat to Maicá Lake.

During our journey through the Tapajós River, we will pass by Piranhas Lake, Ponta do Cururu, Moça Beach, Crocodile Lake, and Ponta de Pedras, where there will be an opportunity for a swim. We will then visit Lake Tapari and Lake Negro, making stops for photo opportunities of the Amazon.

At approximately 1 pm, we will stop at Casa do Saulo restaurant for a traditional lunch. After lunch, we will proceed to where the Tapajós and Amazon Rivers converge, the habitat of the pink Amazon River dolphin.

Continuing our journey, we will reach Maicá Lake, where we will navigate slowly to observe monkeys, sloths, iguanas, various tropical fish, alligators, and lush greenery surrounding the water.

Finally, we will return to Alter do Chão while enjoying a sunset, arriving back at the meeting point by 7 pm.

What is the boat like?

The boat has four distinct areas, along with kayaking and paddle surfing equipment, barbecue facilities, and music available on board.
