Santarém Rivers Tour

Having met up at 9 am at the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão, we'll board a boat and head to Santarém to see the exact point where the Amazon and Tapajós Rivers meet.

During our trip, we'll pass by Lake Verde and the Enchanted Forest, where you can take a 40-minute canoe trip. We'll also see Piranha Lake - be cautious of the water. To cool off, we'll stop at Moça Beach for fruit. Next, we'll head to Crocodile Lake to spot otters, alligators, and turtles.

Around 1 pm, we'll arrive at Ponta de Pedras for lunch, which includes fish, meat, and typical side dishes. After lunch, we will visit the Tapari and Negro Lakes, natural sites in the Santarém region.

We'll reach the meeting point of the Amazon and Tapajós Rivers, where you can jump into the water to experience the temperature differences. You may spot the pink Amazon River dolphin as well. Following our swim, we'll explore Santarém with a 1-hour tour of the city. We will return to Alter do Chão, enjoying the sunset at Ponta do Cururu.
