Get a close-up look at the spectacular spot where the Amazon and Tapajós Rivers meet on our Santarém Rivers Tour. We'll leave Alter do Chão behind for the day and admire breathtaking views.

Santarém Rivers Tour

Meeting at 9 am at the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão, we'll board a boat to Santarém to see the exact point where the Amazon and Tapajós Rivers meet. The boat trip includes Lake Verde and the Enchanted Forest, with an option for a 40-minute canoe trip, as well as Piranha Lake.

We will stop at Moça Beach for refreshments, followed by a visit to Crocodile Lake to observe wildlife. Around 1 pm, we'll reach Ponta de Pedras for lunch featuring fish, meat, and side dishes. After lunch, our tour continues to Tapari and Negro Lakes.

We will then visit the meeting point of the Amazon and Tapajós Rivers, where you can jump into the water and experience the temperature difference. Look for the friendly, pink Amazon River dolphin. Following our swim, we'll explore the history of Santarém with a 1-hour tour, before returning to Alter do Chão while enjoying the sunset at Ponta do Cururu.
