A Coruña and Betanzos Trip

At 9:30 am, we will depart from the Capilla del Pilar in Santiago de Compostela. After a 60-minute journey, we will arrive in the city of A Coruña. We will start by visiting the Tower of Hercules, the oldest lighthouse of Roman origin in the world.

Following the visit to the Tower of Hercules, we will take a walking tour of the historical center of A Coruña. This includes the central Plaza de María Pita, the Church of San Jorge, the Church of Santiago, the Mirador, the Gardens of San Carlos, and Riazor Beach.

After approximately 1 hour 30 minutes for lunch, we will head to Betanzos, a medieval city and one of the seven provincial capitals of the old Kingdom of Galicia, recognized as a Historic-Artistic Site.

During the guided tour of Betanzos, we will visit the church of Santa María del Azogue, the church of Santiago, and the temple dedicated to San Francisco. We will appreciate the artistic and patrimonial value of each monument and sample the local omelette that has received a national award.

Finally, we will return to Santiago de Compostela, arriving at 6:30 pm.
