A Coruña and Betanzos Trip

At 9:30 am, we'll depart from the Capilla del Pilar in Santiago de Compostela. After a 60 minute journey, we'll arrive in the city of A Coruña. Our visit will begin at the Tower of Hercules, recognized as the oldest lighthouse of Roman origin in the world.

Following our visit to the Tower, we'll embark on a walking tour of the historical center of A Coruña. This includes the central Plaza de María Pita, the Church of San Jorge, the Church of Santiago, the Mirador, the Gardens of San Carlos, and Riazor Beach.

Guests will have approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of free time for lunch before we depart A Coruña towards Betanzos. This medieval city was one of the seven provincial capitals of the old Kingdom of Galicia and is a Historic-Artistic Site.

On our guided tour of Betanzos, we will visit the church of Santa María del Azogue, the church of Santiago, and the temple dedicated to San Francisco. We will pause at each site to appreciate its cultural significance. Participants will also have the opportunity to taste the award-winning local omelette.

We will conclude our trip with a return to Santiago de Compostela, arriving at 6:30 pm.
