On this private tour of the Cathedral of Santiago, you'll discover one of the most important churches in Spain with a guide exclusively for you.

Cathedral of Santiago + Museum Private Tour

We'll meet at the Obradoiro square at the indicated time and start the private tour of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

The first stop will be the museum to explore the ancient ruins of the Cathedral. This highlights the increasing importance of the temple since the 9th century as a major pilgrimage center in Christianity.

Next, we will visit the library of the Cathedral to discuss the Codex Calixtinus, a significant bibliographical item that faced theft attempts, recognized as the first travel guide in history.

Then, we'll conduct a guided tour of the interior of the Cathedral of Santiago, examining the chapels, High Altar, organs, and the botafumeiro, including its usage.

We'll continue to explore La Corticela and visit the tomb of Santiago Apostle.

At the end of the two-hour tour, we will return to the Obradoiro square.
