The stunning landscapes of Cape Finisterre and the beauty of the Costa da Morte coastline will take your breath away. Prepare to discover one of the most idyllic parts of Galicia on this tour from Santiago de Compostela.

Day Trip Details

We'll depart from your chosen meeting point in Santiago de Compostela at the scheduled time. After approximately 30 minutes of travel, we'll arrive at the village of Ponte Maceira, where you'll learn about the place's history and inhabitants.

Next, we'll head to Muxia to visit the Virxe da Barca sanctuary, overlooking the ocean, where you'll hear about local history, legends, and mysteries. During this visit, we will discuss the history of the Pedras d'Abalar and Dos Cadrís.

Our route then continues along the Costa da Morte to the lighthouse of Cape Finisterre. Standing on the cliffs, you'll hear folk tales about boats that disappeared along this coastline, known by the Romans as "the end of the earth." You will have 1.5 - 2 hours of free time for lunch in the town of Fisterra to try local food.

After lunch, we'll stop in Muros and take a walk to the Ézaro waterfall, the only river in Europe that cascades into the ocean. South of this area in Carnota, we’ll see the world’s largest hórreo (granary). After viewing the Hórreo of Carnota, we'll return to Santiago de Compostela through la Ría de Muros and along the famous Costa da Morte.
