Day Trip Details

We'll depart from the meeting point of your choice in Santiago de Compostela at the scheduled time. After traveling for around 30 minutes, we'll arrive at the picturesque village of Ponte Maceira, where you'll hear all about its history and inhabitants.

We'll then head to the coastal town of Muxia. Here you'll visit the magnificent Virxe da Barca sanctuary, which overlooks the ocean as we reveal local history, legends, and mysteries. During the visit to the sanctuary of Muxía, we’ll also learn about the history of the Pedras d'Abalar and Dos Cadrís.

Our route continues along the Costa da Morte to the lighthouse of Cape Finisterre. At the cliffs, you'll hear folk tales about boats that disappeared along this coastline known as "the end of the earth". You will have 1.5 - 2 hours of free time for lunch in the picturesque town of Fisterra and to try local food.

After eating, we'll stop in the village of Muros and then walk to the Ézaro waterfall, a natural spectacle caused by the Xallas River, the only river in Europe that ends with cascades into the ocean. In the municipality of Carnota, we'll see the world's largest hórreo (granary).

After admiring the Hórreo of Carnota, we'll head back to Santiago de Compostela through la Ría de Muros and along the Costa da Morte.
