Explore one of the most iconic landmarks in the capital of Galicia with this guided tour of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to understand the rich history of the site and, if you wish, visit the Portico of Glory and the Museum of the Cathedral.

Available modes

When booking, you can choose two modalities that vary depending on the areas of the cathedral you want to know:

Cathedral and Museum. Cathedral, Museum and Portico of Glory.

At the appointed time, we will meet on one of the roads adjacent to the Cathedral, from where we will follow together to the monument to start unraveling the origins of one of the main sights of Santiago de Compostela. The duration of this tour will be two to two and a half hours, finishing in the Plaza del Obradoiro, opposite the iconic west façade of the Cathedral.

Tour of the Cathedral and Museum (2 hours)

During this two-hour tour, we will visit the cathedral museum, where you can enjoy numerous works of art, Roman ruins, the library, the Chapter Hall, the Cloister, the balconies and the remarkable Codex Calixtinus. The next part of the visit will take us to the interior of the cathedral, where we will explore its chapels, the main altar, the chapel of the Corticela and the famous botafumeiro. At the end of the visit, you will have a chance to see the crypt and embrace the Apostle Santiago.

Visit to the Cathedral, Museum and Portico of Glory (2.5 hours)

After exploring the cathedral museum, the guided tour of the Cathedral of Santiago will continue inside the temple. The entrance to the Portico of Glory will also be included, a true masterpiece of the Romanesque, created by the renowned Master Mateo. This structure depicts the Heavenly Jerusalem and was one of the ancient entrances of the temple, currently preserved in its interior. Get ready for a two and a half hour ride that will pass quickly!
