Day Trip Details

We'll meet in front of the Capilla del Pilar and leave Santiago de Compostela for the northeast. After a road journey, we will arrive at Lugo, known for its well-preserved walls, which extend more than 7,000 feet.

In Lugo, we'll take a guided tour of the historic center for an hour and a half. This includes the cathedral of Santa María, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Roman wall, one of the best-preserved in the Iberian Peninsula.

Following Lugo, we will visit the beach of Aguas Santas, known as the Cathedrals beach for its rock formations resembling Gothic shrines. At low tide, we will walk underneath the arches, which soar over 100 feet high.

Next, we will go to the town of Ribadeo, near Cathedrals beach. Here, we will view the neoclassical Casa Consistorial and other notable monuments, plus have free time to enjoy Galician cuisine.

After Ribadeo, we will return to the bus and go back to Santiago de Compostela, concluding the excursion.
