Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the Plaza de Galicia square and leave Santiago de Compostela to head northeast. After the road journey, we'll arrive in Lugo, known for its walls, which are more than 7,000 feet long.

In Lugo, we'll take a guided tour of the historic center for an hour and a half. Key monuments include the cathedral of Santa María, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Roman wall, which surrounds the old town and is well-preserved.

After Lugo, we will visit the Cathedrals beach, known for its rock formations resembling Gothic flying buttresses. We will enjoy a walk during low tide, allowing us to go under the arches, which are more than 100 feet high. The beach is recognized as a Natural Monument and is one of the best beaches in Europe.

Next, we will visit the town of Ribadeo, close to Cathedrals beach. We'll admire the façade of the neoclassical Casa Consistorial and enjoy some free time to taste Galician cuisine.

After this visit, we'll return to the bus and head back to Santiago de Compostela where the excursion concludes.
