Visit one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal with this day trip to Porto. Discover famous bridges over the Douro River and explore the beautiful old town of the city.

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the indicated time in front of the Capilla del Pilar in central Santiago. From there, we will travel to Porto.

Upon arrival in Porto, we will start our tour in the historic center. We will explore the vicinity of the medieval cathedral while our professional guide shares the history of this area.

Next, we will visit the nearby station of Sao Bento to admire its Azulejo ceramic tile decoration. We will focus on those in the main foyer that illustrate various episodes from the city's history.

Our next stop is the Serra do Pilar, which offers one of the best panoramic views of Porto. After taking photos, we will return to the banks of the Douro River, where you will have 2 hours of free time for lunch. Several restaurants in this area feature terraces overlooking the Dom Luís I Bridge.

After lunch, enjoy a cruise on the Douro River to admire Porto from a different perspective. At the end of this one-hour cruise, we will return to Santiago de Compostela. Arrival at the meeting point is scheduled 12 hours after pickup.
