Porto Day Trip

Visit one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal on this day trip to Porto, discovering famous bridges over the Douro River and exploring the old town.

Day Trip Details

We will meet at the specified time in front of the Capilla del Pilar, in central Santiago, before heading to Porto.

Upon arrival, we will start our tour by exploring the historic center and strolling around the vicinity of the medieval cathedral while our guide shares its history.

Next, we will visit the nearby station of Sao Bento to admire its Azulejo tile decoration, with a focus on those in the main foyer that depict various episodes from the city's history.

Our next stop is Serra do Pilar, offering panoramic views of Porto. After taking photos, we will return to the banks of the Douro River. Here, you will have 2 hours of free time for lunch at nearby restaurants with terraces overlooking the Dom Luís I Bridge.

After lunch, we will enjoy a cruise on the Douro River to admire Porto from a different perspective. This one-hour cruise will conclude our activities before we return to Santiago de Compostela, with arrival at the meeting point scheduled 12 hours after pickup.
