Admire enchanting scenery on our day trip to Galicia's famous Rías Baixas. We'll also visit beautiful places such as Padrón, Arosa Island, Cambados, La Toja and Combarro. In addition, you'll be able to take a boat trip and taste mussels.
Description
Having picked you up at the indicated time from Rua dos Bautizados, 12 in Santiago de Compostela, we'll head to Padrón. The gateway to the Rías Baixas awaits!
We will visit the church dedicated to St. James in Padrón, where the "Pedrón" stone is located. A 30-minute tour will cover the Alameda and its statues of Rosalía de Castro and Camilo José Cela. After this, we proceed southward.
Next, in the Pontevedra estuary, we'll stop at Combarro to see traditional Galician hórreos. Here, there will be free time for lunch and a boat ride with mussel tasting.
We'll then visit La Toja to see the Chapel of the Shells. After enjoying the island, our next destination is Cambados, with free time to explore this capital of Albariño wine.
Finally, we conclude at the island of Arousa where you can swim, enjoy a drink, or walk before returning to Santiago de Compostela, completing the ten-hour tour.
Boat trip with mussel tasting
Enhance your experience with a 1 hour 15 minutes boat trip along the Rías Baixas, viewing mussel beds with a mussel tasting session including local wine or soft drinks.
In April, May, June, and October (low season), departures are from the port of O Grove. In July, August, or September (high season), we depart from the marina in Combarro. Those not taking the boat trip will have free time in O Grove or Combarro. After the boat trip, we return to Santiago de Compostela after ten hours of touring.
