Don't miss out on this Rías Baixas wine experience while you're in Santiago de Compostela! It's a delightful journey that includes a visit to an Albariño winery, a boat ride to La Toja with a mussel tasting, a stop in Combarro, and relaxation at La Lanzada beach.
Description
We'll meet at Santiago de Compostela's Plaza de Galicia at the designated time and begin our Rías Baixas excursion in a minibus.
Our first stop is Cambados, the birthplace of Albariño wine production in Galicia. We will visit Adega Eidos winery or Lagar da Cachada for a one-hour guided tour of the vineyards and facilities, which includes wine tasting.
Next, we will go to La Lanzada, where we will see remnants of a 10th-century castle and the chapel of Nuestra Señora de la Lanzada.
From La Lanzada, we will travel to the island of La Toja to discover its thermal traditions and visit the chapel of the shells.
At a pier in La Toja, we'll board a boat to explore the bateas, with a tasting of mussels paired with local fruity wine afterward.
We will then visit Combarro to stroll through its old town with hórreos. You will also have free time to eat in a local restaurant.
Our nine-hour tour concludes with a return to Santiago de Compostela.
