Historic monasteries, natural landscapes, and wines await you on the Ribeira Sacra and Ourense tour from Santiago de Compostela.
Ribeira Sacra & Ourense Tour
We depart at the scheduled time to explore the Ribeira Sacra, a region characterized by its numerous monasteries from the Middle Ages, located on rugged slopes. Upon arrival, we will board a catamaran for a 1.5-hour cruise through the River Sil canyons, enjoying the scenic views and towering walls. Beverages such as coffee, soft drinks, or Ribeira Sacra wine are available for purchase during the cruise.
After the cruise, we will visit a viewpoint in Ribeira Sacra and then proceed to the Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas, dated back to the 6th century according to legend. Following the monastery visit, we will travel to Orense, known as the thermal capital of Galicia, where you will have free time for lunch and the option to visit the Catedral. In the afternoon, a tour of the historic center will reveal why Orense is called the 'City of Bridges'.
The tour concludes with a return to the starting points after eight to ten hours from the beginning of the activity.
