Ribeira Sacra & Ourense Tour

We'll depart at the specified time to begin our guided route through the Ribeira Sacra, a region known for its numerous monasteries established in the Middle Ages across rugged landscapes. Upon arrival, we will board a catamaran for a 1.5-hour cruise through the River Sil canyons. During the cruise, refreshments such as coffee, soft drinks, and Ribeira Sacra wine will be available.

After the cruise, we will visit a viewpoint of the Ribeira Sacra and then proceed to the Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas, which was reputedly founded by hermits in the 6th century. Next, we will head to Orense, recognized as the thermal capital of Galicia, where you will have free time for lunch and optional entry to the Cathedral. In the afternoon, we will explore the historic center, known as the 'City of Bridges.'

The day will conclude with a return to the starting points after approximately eight to ten hours.

Santiago de Compostela: meet at the Capilla del Pilar church, number 6 Avenida Juan Carlos I, returning to the same point.Orense: following pickup from Santiago, meet at the bus stop in front of the Escola Superior de Enxeñería Informática, Avenida Otero Pedrayo, ending at Praza As Burgas.

Changes to the itinerary

Operational reasons may require visiting the Monastery of Santo Estevo instead of the Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas.
