Ribeira Sacra & Ourense Tour

We'll leave at the indicated time and head to the north of the province, initiating our guided route through the Ribeira Sacra. The name of this region, which translates to Sacred Riverbank, comes from the Middle Ages, a period when numerous monasteries were situated along its rugged landscapes.

Upon arrival, we'll board a catamaran to cruise through the River Sil canyons for an hour and a half. During this journey, we will enjoy the striking landscape characterized by towering cliffs that rise nearly 500 meters high. Onboard, you will have the option to enjoy a coffee, a soft drink, or a glass of the renowned Ribeira Sacra wine.

After disembarking, we will visit one of the viewpoints of the Ribeira Sacra to take in the scenery before making our way to the Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas, an architectural gem of the region founded by hermits in the 6th century, according to legend.

Next, we will travel to Orense, known as the thermal capital of Galicia. Once we arrive, you will have free time for lunch and the opportunity to enter the Cathedral. Afterward, we will explore the historic center, unveiling the reasons behind its nickname, the 'City of Bridges.

The day will conclude with our return to the starting points between eight and ten hours after the beginning of the activity.
