On this tour of Santiago de Compostela's surroundings, we'll visit the City of Culture, the Pazo de Rivadulla and the Church of Santa Maria a Real do Sar.

Tour Details

We'll meet at Galicia Square to begin this tour of 3 architectural sites in Santiago de Compostela's surroundings.

Our first stop will be the Pazo de Santa Cruz de Rivadulla, a manor house dating back to the 15th century, where we will explore its gardens featuring various botanical species, including olive trees, magnolias, oaks, and ferns.

Next, we will visit Mount Gaiás to see the City of Culture , designed by architect Peter Eisenman. We will admire the main buildings including the Library of Galicia, the Xosé Neira Vilas Auditorium, and a skatepark. There will be 20 minutes of free time in the City of Culture for refreshments and exploration.

Afterward, we'll proceed to the Church of Santa Maria a Real do Sar, located half an hour from Santiago's historic center, where we'll walk around the cloister by the Sar River and visit the Sar Collegiate Church Museum, featuring an extensive collection of medieval religious art.

The tour lasts 4.5 hours and will conclude at our initial meeting point in Santiago.
