Vigo & Baiona Day Trip

On the morning of the excursion, we'll meet at the Praza da Galicia in Santiago de Compostela at the indicated time to embark on our route to the south of Galicia.

Our first destination is Vigo, the biggest city in Galicia. We will visit the Casco Vello, the oldest part of the city, and see the Praza de Constitución Square with its historic buildings. Next, we will explore the Santa María de Vigo Cocathedral, a neoclassical church from the 19th century, and the A Pedra Market.

We will then head to Monte del Castro for panoramic views and visit the Castelo do Castro. Continuing, we will walk to Porta do Sol, home to the famous Siren sculpture. Afterward, we will stroll down the vibrant Rúa Príncipe for free time to eat.

Next, we will travel to Baiona, walking along Rúa del Conde to the Colegiata de Santa María, a gothic church from the 18th century, and the historic Capilla de la Misericordia.

We will visit the Baiona Parador, a medieval fortress that houses a renowned hotel, and walk the promenade to see the Virgen de la Roca statue while learning about the Discovery of America.

You will have free time to explore Baiona and enjoy its sea-facing terraces. Finally, 11 hours later, we will return to the meeting point in Santiago.
