Get to know the south of Galicia on this day trip to Vigo and Baiona from Santiago de Compostela. Immerse yourself in two historic towns and natural landscapes of the Rías Baixas!

Vigo & Baiona Day Trip

On the morning of the excursion, we'll meet at the Praza da Galicia in Santiago de Compostela at the specified time to begin our journey to southern Galicia.

First, we will travel to Vigo, the largest city in Galicia. Our visit will include the Casco Vello, where we will see Praza de Constitución Square and its historic buildings. We will then visit the Santa María de Vigo Cocathedral, a 19th-century neoclassical church, and proceed to A Pedra Market to experience local flavors.

Next, we will explore Monte del Castro for panoramic views and visit the Castelo do Castro. Continuing, we will walk to Porta do Sol to admire the famous Siren sculpture. You will have free time along the vibrant Rúa Príncipe for lunch.

Our next destination is Baiona, where we will stroll down Rúa del Conde to the Colegiata de Santa María, an 18th-century gothic church, and visit the Capilla de la Misericordia.

We will also see the Baiona Parador, a medieval fortress housing a renowned hotel, and walk along the promenade to the Virgen de la Roca statue related to the Discovery of America.

Following this, you will have free time to explore Baiona and enjoy the seaside views. Finally, after 11 hours, we will return to the meeting point in Santiago.
