Get to know the south of Galicia on this day trip to Vigo and Baiona from Santiago de Compostela. Immerse yourself in two historic towns and natural landscapes of the Rías Baixas.

Vigo & Baiona Day Trip

On the morning of the excursion, we'll meet at Praza da Galicia in Santiago de Compostela at the indicated time to begin our route to southern Galicia.

We will head towards Vigo, the largest city in Galicia. Our first stop will be Casco Vello, the oldest part of the city, where we will see Praza de Constitución Square and its historic buildings. Next, we will visit the Santa María de Vigo Co-cathedral, followed by the A Pedra Market to experience local aromas and tastes. Afterward, we'll go to Monte del Castro for views and explore Castelo do Castro.

We will walk the cobblestone streets to Porta do Sol to see the famous Siren sculpture. We will continue along Rúa Príncipe, where you'll have free time to eat.

Next, in Baiona, we will walk down Rúa del Conde to visit the Colegiata de Santa María and Capilla de la Misericordia. We will then head to the Baiona Parador, a medieval fortress and renowned hotel, followed by a walk along the promenade to see the Virgen de la Roca statue, learning about the Discovery of America.

You will have free time to explore Baiona and its sea-facing terraces. Finally, we will return to Santiago after 11 hours and say our goodbyes at the meeting point.
