Vigo & Baiona Day Trip

On the morning of the excursion, we'll meet at the Praza da Galicia in Santiago de Compostela to start our route to southern Galicia.

We will first visit Vigo, the largest city in Galicia. We will explore the Casco Vello, where we will see Praza de Constitución Square and its historic buildings. We will also visit the Santa María de Vigo Co-cathedral and the A Pedra Market to experience local flavors.

Next, we’ll head to Monte del Castro for views and to explore Castelo do Castro. Our route will take us to Porta do Sol, home to the iconic Siren sculpture. We will then proceed to the vibrant Rúa Príncipe for free time to eat.

Next, we travel to Baiona, walking along Rúa del Conde to the Colegiata de Santa María and the Capilla de la Misericordia.

We will visit the Baiona Parador, a medieval fortress turned hotel, and the Virgen de la Roca statue while discussing the Discovery of America. You will have free time to relax and explore Baiona’s sea-facing terraces.

Finally, we will conclude the tour 11 hours later at the meeting point in Santiago.
