On this tour through the villages of Santiago del Estero, we will travel along the old Camino Real, connecting various posts in northwest Argentina.

Departure is at 9 am from your hotel in Santiago del Estero to explore the villages of the province via the Camino Real, an ancient route linking post stations.

The first stop will be San Pedro, where we will visit the church of the same name and learn about the history of the Camino Real. Next, we will proceed to Silípica to visit the sanctuary of Mama Antula, a significant site in Santiago del Estero.

The tour continues to the post of Manogasta, where General San Martín historically passed through. Following this visit, we head to the artisan fair of Upianita.

At Upianita, enjoy a traditional lunch, which includes empanadas, tamales, and a dessert, with a drink option of wine or soda. After lunch, participate in a dance class to learn basic movements of santiagueñas dances such as chacareras and gatos.

The experience concludes with a return to your hotel in Santiago del Estero by 1 pm.
