Abode of the Gods Day Trip
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 9 am and head north to the town of Sencca. After approximately 45 minutes, we will arrive at Apukunaq Tianan, the Abode of the Gods.
Upon arrival, you will be surrounded by a collection of giant sculptures carved into the limestone rock. We will walk around the Abode of the Gods and explore the significance of the sculptures, some reaching up to 33 feet (10 meters) high.
The puma, the three-dimensional door, the protective Apu or God Wiracocha, the Pachamama, and a viewpoint are some of the sculptures we will see. Additionally, we will enjoy views of the city and the surrounding scenery. Our guide will share insights about Andean cosmology and the Inca period.
We will return to Cusco and conclude our trip in the main square at around 12 noon.
