Discover Chonta Canyon, home of the majestic Andean condor, on this private excursion from Cusco. You'll also visit the mystical archaeological sites of Tarawasi and Killarumiyoq along the way!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your Cusco hotel and start this excursion to Chonta Canyon. On the way, we'll stop in the town of Anta, where you can join a guided visit to Killarumiyoq, an Inca archaeological site thought to be dedicated to the moon.

Next, we will head to the village of Limatambo to visit the Tarawasi ruins and admire ancient ceremonial stone altars, known as 'usnu.

After these visits, the group will continue to Chonta Canyon, crossing the Huayronka Bridge. We will visit three vantage points with sweeping views where you might see the Andean condor. This bird requires windy areas for gliding.

At the Chonta viewpoint, you'll have 2 hours of free time to enjoy the views and wildlife, and take photographs. Afterward, we will return to the vehicle and head back to Cusco, concluding a 12-hour day filled with nature, culture, and history. We'll arrive back at your hotel after the excursion.
