Discover Chonta Canyon, home of the majestic Andean condor, on this private excursion from Cusco. You'll also visit the archaeological sites of Tarawasi and Killarumiyoq along the way.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your Cusco hotel to start the excursion to Chonta Canyon. On the way, we will stop in Anta, where you'll have the option to visit Killarumiyoq, an Inca site thought to be dedicated to the moon.
Afterward, the tour continues to Limatambo to visit the Tarawasi ruins and observe ancient ceremonial stone altars known as 'usnu'.
Next, we will proceed to Chonta Canyon, crossing the Huayronka Bridge. The journey includes magnificent views leading to the viewpoint.
An hour's travel will take us to three vantage points with sweeping views of the Andean condor. This bird, one of the largest in the world, glides in windy areas with minimal effort, offering an extraordinary sight.
At the Chonta viewpoint, you'll have 2 hours of free time to enjoy the views and wildlife. Following this, we will return to the vehicle and head back to Cusco, concluding a 12-hour day of nature, culture, and history. We will arrive back at your hotel at the end of the tour.
