Chonta Viewpoint, Tarawasi & Killarumiyoq Private Tour

Discover Chonta Canyon, home of the majestic Andean condor, on this private excursion from Cusco. You'll also visit the archaeological sites of Tarawasi and Killarumiyoq.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your Cusco hotel and start the excursion to Chonta Canyon. On the way, we'll stop in the town of Anta, where you can join a guided visit to Killarumiyoq, an Inca archaeological site dedicated to the moon.

The tour will then leave Anta and head to the village of Limatambo, where you can visit the Tarawasi ruins and view ancient ceremonial stone altars, known as 'usnu'.

After exploring these sites, the group will head to Chonta Canyon, crossing the Huayronka Bridge, while taking in the views on the way to the viewpoint.

The journey will take an hour to reach three vantage points, where you'll see the Andean condor in flight. The Andean condor requires windy areas for gliding.

At the Chonta viewpoint, you'll have 2 hours of free time to enjoy the views and wildlife, and take photographs. After the break, we'll return to the vehicle and head back to Cusco, culminating a 12-hour activity, before arriving back at your hotel.
