Discover Chonta Canyon, home of the Andean condor, on this private excursion from Cusco, including visits to the archaeological sites of Tarawasi and Killarumiyoq.
Description
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your Cusco hotel to start the excursion to Chonta Canyon. We will stop in Anta, where you can join a guided visit to Killarumiyoq, an Inca site thought to be dedicated to the moon.
Next, we will head to Limatambo to explore the Tarawasi ruins and view ancient ceremonial stone altars known as usnu.
After exploring, we will continue to Chonta Canyon, crossing over the Huayronka Bridge while enjoying stunning views. The journey will take about an hour to reach three vantage points, where you can see the Andean condor in flight.
At the viewpoint, you will have 2 hours of free time to enjoy the views and observe wildlife. Following this break, we will return to the vehicle and head back to Cusco, concluding a 12-hour day filled with nature, culture, and history before arriving back at your hotel.
