Cusco City & Inca Ruins Tour Itinerary

On the designated day of your tour, a pick-up will be scheduled from your hotel in Cusco at your chosen time. We'll travel by minibus to the Plaza de Armas, the heart of the city, where the Cusco Cathedral stands tall. Inside this prominent temple, you'll admire its remarkable architecture and artistic heritage, including gold décor sourced from Incan treasures.

Our journey continues to the renowned Qoricancha Temple, known as the temple of the sun. Although the precise construction date is unclear, it's recognized as a pivotal spiritual hub for the Inca Empire. Once inside, you'll discover the intricate blend of Inca and Spanish influences that define this architectural gem.

We will hop back into the minibus for a trip to four notable Inca ruins situated just outside the city. After a short 30-minute ride, we will arrive at Sacsayhuaman, an impressive citadel that predates the Incas. Here, a guided tour lasting one hour will illuminate the reasons behind its classification as an Inca architectural wonder.

Next on our itinerary is the sacred site of Qenko, followed by Puka Pukara, a military fortress, aptly named The Red Fort. Lastly, we will explore Tambomachay, a site shrouded in mystery that features cascading waterfalls and pools, possibly dedicated to water worship.

After an enriching four-and-a-half-hour tour through Cusco’s most significant attractions, we will return you close to the Plaza de Armas.
