Follow in the footsteps of Pablo Neruda and be seduced by the deep blue Pacific ocean crashing against the rocky coastline of Isla Negra. This tour includes a visit to the poet's house and a traditional village with a rich artisan heritage.

Isla Negra and Pomaire Trip

The tour begins with hotel pickup at 8 am, followed by a journey to Isla Negra, a coastal area in central Chile.

Pablo Neruda owned three homes in Chile, with Isla Negra being his favorite. We will visit this house, designed to resemble a boat, showcasing nautical memorabilia including figureheads, sailboat replicas, model boats in bottles, seashells, and whale teeth. These items are connected to the poet's work.

After touring the house, we will visit the graves of Neruda and his muse, Matilde Urrutia, located on a clifftop overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

On our return to Santiago, we will stop at Pomaire, known for its artisan pottery. Guests will learn about this clay artform and see the distinctive smooth, red-toned ceramics, with free time to dine at local restaurants.

To conclude the tour, we will visit Viña Undurraga, a historic winery that has been crafting Chilean wine for over 130 years, with an opportunity to taste their offerings.

After a full day exploring Isla Negra and Pomaire, the tour will return to the original hotel location by approximately 4 pm.
