Day 1: Inca Trail

Day one begins with a hotel pickup in Cusco and a minibus transfer to Ollantaytambo Railway Station. You will take the train to Kilometre 104, the starting point for the short Inca Trail. The hike includes visits to Chachabamba and Wiñayhuayna, significant archaeological complexes. A picnic lunch will be provided before continuing to Inti Punku (The Sun Gate) for views of Machu Picchu during sunset. Afterward, you'll take a bus to Aguas Calientes for dinner and an overnight stay.

Total distance: 12 km (7.5 miles)

Day 2: Machu Picchu

The second day starts with a buffet-style breakfast at the hotel, followed by a bus ride to Machu Picchu. Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of the site, with free time afterward to explore or visit Huayna Picchu mountain. Post-tour, you'll take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, allowing time for lunch and leisure before the afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by a bus ride to Cusco, arriving around 8 pm.

Hike Accommodation

The tour includes one night's accommodation with breakfast and dinner at Rockriver Hotel (3 stars) or similar, with pricing per person in a double room with a private bathroom.

Admission to Huayna Picchu

To visit Huayna Picchu mountain, you must book your own entrance ticket through the Peruvian Ministry of Culture's website.

If the activity is canceled due to strikes or weather conditions, an alternative date will be provided. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued except for the Inca Trail entrance fee (222 PEN), which is non-refundable.
