On this private excursion from Cusco, we will visit the salt mines of Maras, the circular terraces of Moray, and the community of Misminay.

Maras Excursion with Salt Massage + Moray & Misminay

Between 8 and 8:30 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco to begin our excursion to three key attractions in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

We will first visit the town of Maras, known for its colonial façades. There, we will explore the salt mines and salt ponds, which have origins in Inca times.

Next, we will proceed to the indigenous community of Misminay, where we start with a welcome snack. This visit will offer insights into the local way of life, primarily focused on agricultural and textile tasks. We will then have lunch consisting of a starter, a main course, and a drink.

Afterwards, we will hike to a viewpoint to see the archaeological center of Moray, located at nearly 11,500 feet (3,500 meters) above sea level, featuring an amphitheater of circular platforms. During our visit, we will provide information about its historical significance.

Upon our return, a massage with Maras salt will be offered, including a medicinal foot bath using salts and herbs, while we discuss its health benefits.

The excursion will conclude after eight hours with a return to your hotel in Peru.
