On this private excursion from Cusco, we will visit the salt mines of Maras, the circular terraces of Moray, and the community of Misminay.

Maras Excursion with Salt Massage + Moray & Misminay

Between 8 and 8:30 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco to begin an excursion to three main attractions of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

We will start in Maras, known for its colonial houses, and visit its historic salt mines and salt ponds, dating back to Inca times.

Next, we will head to the indigenous community of Misminay for a welcome snack. Here, you will learn about the local lifestyle focused on agricultural and textile tasks and enjoy lunch, which will consist of a starter, main course, and drink.

Afterwards, we will hike to a viewpoint overlooking the archaeological center of Moray, located at nearly 11,500 feet (3,500 meters) above sea level, known for its circular platforms. We will provide insights about its purpose during the Inca Empire.

Upon returning, you will experience a massage with Maras salt. Community members will explain its health benefits as you enjoy a medicinal foot bath with these salts and various herbs.

Finally, after eight hours, we will conclude the excursion back at your hotel in Peru.
