Historic salt mines and mysterious circular Inca ruins: explore Peru's Sacred Valley on this tour of Moray and Maras from Cusco.

Moray Ruins & Maras Salt Mines Tour Itinerary

Pick-up from your hotel is at 8:20 am, followed by a journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first stop is Maras, known for its salt pans, or salineras, which have produced salt since pre-Inca times. The picturesque town and the natural color variation of the evaporation ponds create a notable sight, viewed from a designated viewpoint.

Next, visit Moray, where circular agricultural terraces, called andenes, were used for creating microclimates for diverse crops. You will have one hour to explore this archaeological site.

After an insightful tour, return to Cusco's historic centre, arriving near Plaza de Armas by 2:30 pm.
