Moray Ruins & Maras Salt Mines Tour Itinerary
After being picked up from your hotel at 8:20 am, you will depart Cusco for the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first stop is Maras, known for its salt pans, or salineras, which have been used since pre-Inca times. You will view the evaporation ponds from the viewpoint, where their color variations present a stunning sight.
The next destination is Moray, an archaeological site featuring circular agricultural terraces, known as andenes. These terraces were used by the Incas to create different microclimates for diverse crop cultivation. You will explore this area for an hour before returning to Cusco's historic centre, where you will be dropped off near Plaza de Armas at 2:30 pm.
Cusco Tourist Card
You can purchase the Cusco Tourist Card to obtain your entrance ticket to Moray in advance. This card also grants access to major tourist attractions in the city and the Sacred Valley.
