Explore one of the colorful mountains of Peru with this hiking tour through Pallay Punchu, a notable attraction in the Cusco area.

Trip Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at the scheduled time to begin our trek through the mountain of the Seven Colors. After 1.5 hours of travel, we'll stop at a restaurant in Collca for a breakfast buffet. Following this, we will continue for 2 more hours, winding through the Laguni Lagoon until we reach Layo, an excellent photo opportunity.

From Layo, a 15-minute drive takes us to the starting point for the hike to the top of Pallay Punchu mountain, which takes between 45 minutes to 2 hours. This mountain's name translates to "poncho of colors," reflecting its vivid stripes. During our hike, we'll enjoy views of Pallay Punchu, Pasñawarcuna, Apu Tagllo, and Condorsllana. At the highest point, Condor Sayana, we will reach 4,850 metres (almost 16,000 feet) above sea level, featuring expansive vistas of the Layo and Laguni areas and the Tres Cañones mountains of Suykutambo.

After exploring Pallay Punchu, we will return to Cusco, stopping again at Collca for a lunch buffet. We will conclude this 14-hour trip back at Plaza Regocijo.
