Explore one of the colorful mountains of Peru with this hiking tour through Pallay Punchu, a key attraction in the Cusco area.

Trip Description

We will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at the scheduled time to begin the trekking route through the mountain of the Seven Colors. The first stop will be at a restaurant in Collca after 1.5 hours, where a breakfast buffet will be available. Post-breakfast, we will travel for an additional 2 hours through the folds of the Laguni Lagoon to reach Layo, ideal for photographs.

After a 15-minute drive from Layo, we will begin the hike to the top of the Pallay Punchu mountain, which lasts between 45 minutes and 2 hours. The name means "poncho of colors," and the mountain features striking tones resembling the stripes of this traditional Peruvian garment.

During the trek, landscapes of Pallay Punchu, Pasñawarcuna, Apu Tagllo, and Condorsllana mountains will be visible. At the highest point, known as Condor Sayana at 4,850 metres (almost 16,000 feet) above sea level, stunning views of the Layo and Laguni districts await. Prepare for excellent photo opportunities.

After exploring Pallay Punchu, we will return to Cusco, stopping again at Collca for a lunch buffet. The trip will conclude after 14 hours, with goodbyes at Plaza Regocijo.
