Explore one of the colorful mountains of Peru with this hiking tour through Pallay Punchu, one of the top attractions in the Cusco area.

Trip Description

We will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco to start the trek to the mountain of the Seven Colors. After 1.5 hours, we will stop at a restaurant in Collca for a breakfast buffet. We will then continue for 2 hours through the Laguni Lagoon before reaching Layo for photo opportunities.

After a 15-minute drive from Layo, we will begin the hike to Pallay Punchu, which lasts between 45 minutes to 2 hours. The name means "poncho of colors," resembling the stripes of this typical garment.

Along the trek, we will view the Pallay Punchu, Pasñawarcuna, Apu Tagllo, and Condorsllana mountains. At the highest point, Condor Sayana, at 4,850 metres (almost 16,000 feet), we will have views of Layo and Laguni districts, the lagoon, and the Tres Cañones mountains of Suykutambo.

After exploring Pallay Punchu, we will head back to Cusco and stop in Collca for a lunch buffet. We will arrive in Cusco after this 14-hour trip and say our goodbyes at Plaza Regocijo.
