Portillo & Inca Lagoon Day Trip Itinerary

At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile and head north of the capital via the Los Libertadores highway.

On the way, we’ll stop to admire Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas. We’ll then continue into the Andes until we reach a viewpoint for Salto del Soldado Canyon, a historic site. We may spot condors soaring nearby.

Back on the minibus, we’ll drive through the Rio Blanco National Reserve and navigate Los Caracoles pass before arriving at Laguna del Inca, close to the Argentine border. We’ll also enjoy a delicious empanada snack while taking in the views.

After 40 minutes at the lagoon, we’ll proceed to Portillo ski resort, noted for snow sports and its historic ski hotel.

Before returning, we’ll stop at the San Esteban Winery for a wine tasting in the Aconcagua Valley.

After a complete day of exploration, we’ll return to your hotel in Santiago, approximately 10 hours after the start.
