Portillo & Inca Lagoon Day Trip Itinerary

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile at the scheduled time and head north on the Los Libertadores highway. We will stop briefly to admire Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas. Continuing our ascent into the Andes, we’ll reach a viewpoint overlooking the Salto del Soldado Canyon, a significant historical site in Chile. With luck, we may spot condors.

We’ll then drive through the Rio Blanco National Reserve and navigate the Los Caracoles pass before arriving at Laguna del Inca, near the Argentine border. We’ll enjoy a delicious empanada snack while taking in the views. After spending 40 minutes at the lagoon, we’ll proceed to the Portillo ski resort, known for snow sports and home to the oldest ski hotel in South America.

Before heading back, we’ll visit the San Esteban Winery to explore the Aconcagua Valley and partake in a wine tasting. We will return to your hotel in Santiago after approximately 10 hours of exploration.
