Discover the spot where a rainbow fell out of the sky and melted into the Andean landscape on this guided hike of Vinicuna, the Mountain of Seven Colours.

Description

This adventure begins with hotel pickup in Cusco, leading to Rainbow Mountain. After approximately two hours, we arrive at Kusipata village for a hearty breakfast. We then travel for another two hours through Pitumarca, reaching the trek starting point at 4600 meters (15,000 feet) above sea level. The ascent introduces Andean wildlife, including alpacas, sheep, and vicuñas.

Following an hour and 45 minutes of hiking, we arrive at Rainbow Mountain, recognized for its breathtaking views, and take time for photographs. The descent is easier as we return to the bus and head back to Kusipata for a buffet lunch before concluding the 14 to 15-hour excursion with a return to central Cusco, dropping off near Plaza de Armas.
