We’ll pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time to begin a full-day excursion through some of the most fascinating cultural and historical sites in the Cusco region: Raqchi, Tinta, and the San Lorenzo de Valleumbroso Hacienda. Ready? Let’s go!

Our first stop will be San Pedro de Cacha, located on the banks of the Vilcanota River. Here, we’ll visit the archaeological site of Raqchi, which was once the capital of the Kanchis nation. We’ll explore the Temple of Wiracocha, built to honor an important Inca deity, and discover colcas and royal tambos.

Next, we’ll head to the town of Tinta, known for its pivotal role in Peru’s fight for independence, particularly the uprising led by Tupac Amaru II. We'll learn about his legacy and visit significant landmarks, including his house-museum. Our visit continues with the 17th-century church, which features a golden altar and colonial artworks by masters such as Diego de la Puente.

After exploring, you’ll have time for lunch at a local restaurant. We’ll then continue to the colonial bridge of Tinta, built in 1740. After crossing, we’ll arrive at the Hacienda of San Lorenzo de Valleumbroso, an impressive colonial mansion built atop Inca foundations.

We’ll explore the estate’s arcaded patios and open courtyards, enjoying views of the Cusco Valley. Declared a Cultural Heritage Site of Peru in 1991, the hacienda is currently undergoing restoration. After this immersive day, we’ll return to your hotel, arriving 10 hours later.
