Discover the history and landscapes of southern Peru on the famous Ruta del Sol from Cusco to Puno.

Description

We'll set off on the Ruta del Sol at the scheduled time from Avenida 28 de Julio. An hour later, we'll arrive in Andahuaylillas, where we'll visit the San Pedro Apóstol church, noted for its sacred art. Following Andahuaylillas, we'll proceed to the Raqchi archaeological site, home to the remains of the ancient temple of the god Wiracocha. A guided tour will provide insights into the worship of this deity and its impacts after the Spanish arrival.

The next stop will be a local restaurant for a one-hour buffet lunch. After lunch, we’ll visit Abra La Raya, a mountain pass over 4,300 metres high, known for its views. The day concludes at an interpretation center in Pukara before returning to Puno by 5:30 pm.

If you book the 'Transport with hotel pickup and tickets' option, we will pick you up at your accommodation in Cusco. At the end of the activity, we’ll drop you off at your hotel in Puno. This option includes all admission tickets and lunch.
