Take a trip through time and history back to the revolution of Túpac Amaru II and an elegant stately home on our Tinta & San Lorenzo de Valleumbroso Estate Day Trip from Cusco.

Tinta & San Lorenzo de Valleumbroso Estate Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and set off for Tinta, a historic town located just 70 miles (113 kilometers) away from Cusco.

This town is known for the revolution led by Túpac Amaru II, the largest indigenous independence movement of the former viceroyalty. We'll learn about his life and visit significant sites, including his museum-house.

We will also visit the Church of Tinta, a 17th-century building with a gold leaf altar and artworks, including altarpieces by Diego de la Puente, Francisco Serrano, and Marcos Rivera. We will stop at a local restaurant for lunch at your convenience.

After lunch, we will head to the colonial bridge of Tinta, built in 1740, before proceeding to the Estate of the Marquis of San Lorenzo de Valleumbroso.

Upon arrival, you will see a stately mansion built on Inca walls in a colonial architectural style. This house belonged to Rodrigo de Esquivel, whose descendants became the Marquises of San Lorenzo de Valleumbroso.

We will explore its patios, arcades, and other spaces while enjoying views of the Cusco valley. The mansion was declared a Cultural Heritage of the Nation in 1991 and is under restoration by the National Institute of Culture of Cusco.

After the visit, we will return to your hotel, arriving at 8 pm.
