On this guided tour of Palacio de Velarde, we'll explore this 15th-century Renaissance building through impressive sets, holograms, and projections.

Description

We will meet at the entrance to Palacio de Velarde at the designated time to begin our guided tour of this elegant building in Santillana del Mar. The tour starts with details about its construction.

Next, we will visit the second floor, where we will find a great hall, home to the ghosts of its illustrious inhabitants. Participants may encounter renowned figures such as Pedro Velarde, Ricardo León, or aristocrat Trinidad Von Sholt Hermensdorff.

We will then ascend to the third floor to learn about Renaissance architecture, the lineage of the Velarde family, and the coats of arms the palace displayed throughout its history.

The well-preserved rooms include the office of Frida Kahlo's doctor, Francisco Guerra, which also offers panoramic views of Santillana del Mar and its historic centre.
