The Path of the Bear Hiking Tour

Meet at the car park next to the recreational area of Las Xanas at the designated time. We will start the hike along the Senda del Oso or The Path of the Bear, known as the most famous greenway in Asturias.

The hike begins with a gentle ascent, leading us into the impressive gorge of the Senda del Oso, featuring numerous tunnels carved into the rock. Along the way, enjoy views of the river Trubia from elevated points and traverse through a beech forest and chestnut trees. A small wooden bridge will mark our crossing before we continue ascending through Las Xanas.

We will also pass by the hermitage of San Antonio de Pedroveya, providing a resting spot after approximately an hour and a half of walking. The total duration of the hike is around 2.5 hours, concluding back at the starting point.
