2 Day Hike from Barreirinhas to Atins

Day 1: Barreirinhas - Baixa Grande

Between 2:45 and 3 am, hotel pickup will occur to begin the two-day trek from Barreirinhas to Atins. We will board a ferry to cross the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park and start the hike. The hike will last for seven hours, traversing trails through sand dunes until we arrive at the village of Baixa Grande, where we will spend the night with a local family.

Day 2: Baixa Grande - Atins

After breakfast, we will continue the trekking route through the park, visiting freshwater lagoons and dunes, culminating at the mouth of the Rio Negro. This portion of the hike will take around three hours.

At the end of the hike, a 4x4 vehicle will transport you to Atins, with an expected arrival in the village at 11 am where you will be dropped at your chosen location.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's accommodation with breakfast in a hammock at a local family's house.
