2 Day Hike from Barreirinhas to Atins

Day 1: Barreirinhas - Baixa Grande

We will pick you up from your hotel between 2:45 and 3:00 am to start the trek. A ferry will take us across the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park where we will begin the hike. The walking time will be seven hours along trails through sand dunes until we reach the village of Baixa Grande, where we will stay overnight with a local family.

Day 2: Baixa Grande - Atins

After breakfast, we will continue the trekking route, exploring freshwater lagoons and dunes until we arrive at the mouth of the Rio Negro. This section of the hike takes approximately three hours.

At the hike's end, a 4x4 vehicle will transport you to Atins, arriving in the village by 11:00 am at your designated location.
