Are you currently in the Dominican Republic's capital and eager to explore areas outside the Colonial City? You're in the right place! At the designated time, we will gather near the Museum of the Royal Houses and commence this alternative exploration of Santo Domingo.
Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide familiar with the city's rich history, we will uncover the elements that shape the Dominican capital. Our first stop will be the Plaza Independencia Square, an ideal location to immerse ourselves in the historical narrative of Santo Domingo.
To gain a fresh perspective of the city, we will delve into the rich culture, traditions, and culinary offerings. We will navigate the neighborhoods beyond the historic walls as the locals do, utilizing both the metro and the cable car.
Additionally, we will explore the Plaza de la Cultura Square and visit some traditional venues where, if desired, we can sample quintessential local products from Santo Domingo, including mamajuana, Dominican rum, and chocolate.
After a 3-hour journey, we will conclude our tour and return to the initial meeting point.
