Discover the traces left behind by Spaniards in the Dominican Republic's capital on our Ciudad Colonial Guided Tour in Santo Domingo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Tour Details

At your chosen time, we'll meet in front of the Royal House Museum to start our guided tour of Santo Domingo's Ciudad Colonial. During the tour, we will explore the most symbolic spots in the oldest part of the Dominican capital.

Firstly, we will visit the Basilica Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, the oldest cathedral in North America, constructed under the order of Charles V. Following this, we will proceed to the Fortaleza Ozama, the oldest fort built by Europeans in America.

Next, we will stroll along Las Damas Street, stopping at the House of Rodrigo Bastidas, founder of several South American cities. We will also see the former residences of Nicolás de Ovando and Dávila as we continue exploring the colonial era in Santo Domingo.

Afterwards, we will visit the National Pantheon, the Royal House Museum, and the Plaza de España, where the iconic Alcazar de Colón is situated.

After 2 hours spent delving into the history of Santo Domingo, we will conclude the tour.
