The Dominican Republic is one of the biggest exporters of cocoa in the world. Discover it on this tour from Santo Domingo, visiting a chocolate and coffee-producing estate, and participating in a casabe de yuca workshop.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel in Santo Domingo to begin the day focused on chocolate and coffee. We will travel by minibus to an estate for various workshops. The Dominican Republic is a leader in organic cocoa production. The tour includes a small hiking tour, traditional crops, and observing the process from cocoa harvest to chocolate production.

Participants will learn how to prepare cocoa on a bonfire and make chocolate, as well as artisan casabe de yuca and coffee, along with insights about these products.

The tour will also include a visit to a cenote to relax and swim in crystal clear waters, followed by a typical lunch in the area. After lunch, we will return to the minibus and head back to Santo Domingo, concluding the tour after 7 hours.
