The Dominican Republic ranks among the top exporters of cocoa worldwide. Experience this richness on a guided tour from Santo Domingo, where you will visit an estate dedicated to chocolate and coffee production. Additionally, engage in a hands-on workshop focusing on casabe de yuca!

Description

At the designated time, our team will pick you up from your accommodation in Santo Domingo. Prepare for an immersive day exploring two of the Dominican Republic's prized commodities: chocolate and coffee. Board a minibus as we journey to a working estate to participate in various enriching workshops.

Did you know that this nation is a leading producer of organic cocoa? Enjoy a gentle hike through the landscapes, observe traditional agricultural practices, and trace the journey of cocoa beans from their harvest all the way to chocolate creation. You will be captivated!

Participants will also learn to prepare cocoa over an open fire, craft chocolate, and create artisan casabe de yuca along with coffee. Discover fascinating insights into each of these products during the sessions.

The next segment of the excursion takes us to a cenote, where you can unwind in the refreshing crystal clear waters. Following this serene experience, enjoy a local lunch in the area to satisfy your hunger.

After your meal, we will return to the minibus for our journey back to Santo Domingo, culminating the day after approximately 7 hours of exploration.
