On this day trip to Los Haitises National Park, we will explore the Samaná Peninsula and visit petroglyph caves.
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we will meet at Parque Colón and leave Santo Domingo to begin the trip to Los Haitises National Park.
After a 2.5 to 3-hour drive, we will arrive at our destination, where we will board a boat and sail for the cays of Los Haitises. We will pass through mangrove forests and view rock formations, and visit petroglyph caves with Taino artwork. After enjoying the natural scenery, we will stop at the Arena Cave, located next to the beach.
The route will then continue sailing to the island of Cayo Levantado, where we will enjoy a typical Dominican lunch.
Finally, we will return to our original meeting point, concluding our trip after a total of 12 hours.
