Workshop options

At Kahkow Experience in Santo Domingo's Zona Colonial, you can attend different workshops based on your preferences. All options meet on Calle Las Damas at your chosen time.

Chocolate workshop (20 minutes)

This workshop includes a visit to Kahkow Experience to explore the chocolate industry and its significance in the Dominican Republic. Learn about the journey of cocoa beans from cultivation to chocolate production. You'll observe the machines used to make chocolate and create your own chocolate bar.

Chocolate workshop + Documentary & cacao farm (30 minutes)

This option includes a documentary featuring insights from chocolate experts about its unique properties and the history of cacao. A visit to a cacao plantation will follow, where you’ll see the drying and fermentation rooms. In the Sensory Room, enjoy a chocolate tasting before making your own chocolate bar.

Chocolate workshop + Cook with the chef (2 hours)

After learning about chocolate's origins and importance in the Dominican Republic, you'll visit the different rooms at Kahkow Experience. Watch a demonstration of chocolate tempering and then prepare various chocolate dishes, including decorations, brownies, and coated fruits. You'll have the chance to taste your creations.
