Workshop options

At Kahkow Experience, located in Santo Domingo's Zona Colonial, several workshops are available. All options meet on Calle Las Damas at the chosen time.

Chocolate workshop (20 minutes)

This workshop includes a visit to Kahkow Experience to explore the chocolate industry in the Dominican Republic. Participants will learn about the journey of cocoa beans from cultivation to chocolate production and see the machines used to make chocolate. Attendees will create their own chocolate bar.

Chocolate workshop + Documentary & cacao farm (30 minutes)

This option includes viewing a documentary that explains the unique properties of chocolate and reviews the history of cacao. Following this, participants will visit a cacao plantation to learn about its parts and see drying and fermentation rooms. A chocolate tasting in the Sensory Room will follow, focusing on different cocoa percentages, and participants will create their own chocolate bar.

Chocolate workshop + Cook with the chef (2 hours)

This comprehensive workshop covers the importance of chocolate in the Dominican Republic and includes a demonstration of tempering chocolate. Participants will prepare various chocolate dishes, including molded figures, chocolate baskets, decorated chocolates, and brownies, concluding with a tasting of their creations.
