Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at your selected meeting point and head west to Lake Enriquillo, the largest lake in the Dominican Republic.
We’ll have breakfast during the transfer and then visit an area with indigenous houses. Our journey continues to Lake Enriquillo, where we’ll take a boat ride around Cabritos Island, which is located 43 m (141 ft) below sea level. We will share the history of the lake's name and its significance as the largest lake in the Antilles.
Next, we will visit the open-air museum of Las Caritas, where we will see rock formations with Taíno paintings, large caves, and enjoy panoramic views of Lake Enriquillo.
Then, we’ll travel to Neyba to visit Comedor Ángela, learning about the region's wine production, which includes a wine tasting and a local lunch.
