Tour Description

Day 1: Discovering Monte Cristi - El Morro

We will commence our escapade at the selected meeting point at the scheduled time. From there, our destination will be the historic town of Monte Cristi, known by many as the “gem of the northwest Dominican Republic.” Let's uncover the reasons behind its charming reputation!

As we traverse the limestone hills, we'll arrive at the picturesque coastal town. Upon entering its heart, the clock tower of San Fernando de Monte Cristi will catch our attention, serving as a perfect starting point to delve into its rich history. Our next stop will be the Máximo Gómez House Museum, where a guided tour will reveal intriguing tales from the past.

Following our visit, we will ascend to the El Morro viewpoint as dusk approaches. Prepare to witness one of the most breathtaking sunsets across the Greater Antilles! To conclude our first day, a delightful dinner awaits us at the renowned La Casa Azul restaurant.

At day’s end, we will escort you to your accommodation in Monte Cristi for a restful night. We'll look forward to our adventure tomorrow!

Day 2: Mangroves - Grand Grossier - Isla Cabra

Are you ready for a taste of Caribbean paradise? After enjoying a traditional Dominican breakfast, we will embark on a boat cruise through the mangroves. As we navigate the lush greenery, we'll arrive at a platform where the Caribbean Sea meets our path, perfect for a refreshing swim and sunbathing.

Next, we will continue our nautical journey towards Grand Grossier. Upon arrival, you will surely be enchanted by the stunning beach with its white sands and turquoise waters. This idyllic location is complete with quaint wooden kiosks and swings.

Our final stop will be at Isla Cabra, a stunning sandy cay close to El Morro. Here, we will take in the majestic cliffs from its near-pristine beach while sharing lunch at Marina del Mar de Monte Cristi. After soaking in the beauty of this natural haven, we'll journey back to our starting point.

We’ll conclude our adventure with farewells at 5 pm at the original meeting location in Santiago de los Caballeros or at 7 pm in Santo Domingo.
