Day Trip Details
The day begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Santo Domingo, proceeding to the Bayahibe Dock for our trip to Saona Island.
Upon arrival at the dock, we will commence our boat voyage to Saona Island, known for its beautiful landscapes.
The first stop will be at El Toro Beach for 45 minutes, where you can snorkel or swim in the clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Next, we sail to Mano Juan, a village on the southern tip of the island. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely lunch, with the lobster stands being a popular option. There is also a turtle sanctuary worth visiting.
After leaving Mano Juan, we cruise through the Catuano Channel, known for its mangrove swamps, where sightings of turtles and small Caribbean sharks are possible.
Our final stop will be at a set of natural pools off the coast of Saona Island, for another 45 minutes of swimming. Following this, we will return to the Bayahibe dock and then back to your hotel in Santo Domingo, concluding an 11-hour experience.
